The story of the Guérin family is one of an innovative project: utilizing the biogas produced by methanation on their farm in Périgord to fuel their tractors and light vehicles. With them, the loop is closed !
For this new site producing biomethane for network injection, the Guérin family's SAS “Borie Verte” sought to equip itself with a bioCNG fuel production station for self-consumption, in order to fuel their farm vehicles with sustainable fuel.
Blocalps studied and developed a complete, turnkey BIOCNG station offering several significant advantages. This custom-designed BIOCNG station is perfectly suited to the needs of the farm and has the advantage of being scalable. It is equipped with a fast-charging system compatible with all vehicles, featuring 2 NGV 1 and NGV 2 nozzles that allow refueling of a fuel volume equivalent to that of a heavy truck in a short time, optimizing vehicle refueling time.
Thanks to an advanced monitoring system, technicians can remotely take control to provide the necessary technical support during operation.
Additionally, a management automation system allows precise tracking of consumption by vehicle and user, offering detailed monitoring of energy performance. On the practical side, access to the station is facilitated and secured through a badge system that unlocks the fuel intake.
To ensure that the BIOCNG from the station is safely used as fuel, an odorization module for biomethane was specially developed by the R&D department for farm station applications.
> WHAT TO REMEMBER ABOUT THIS BIOGNV GAS STATION ?
Custom and turnkey
Fast charging
Monitoring system
Management automation
Integrated gas odorization
Secured access
Simple and quick use
Rapid installation
Today, the BIOCNG station fuels five vehicles, a truck that supplies waste to the methanation unit, a tractor, and other agricultural equipment running on bioCNG.
ADEME (the french ecological Transition Agency) supported this project, enabling the farm to achieve energy autonomy and decarbonize its activities.
